Something is troubling you, unsure of what. There were times when you used to say write a verse for me, coz that used to make you smile.Today couldn't help but write what came to my mind when I saw something 'very painful' .. This is for you, and hope you are reading this .. Not sure if that would make you smile, but still hope that helps, in some way ..
All I could see now
is some pain you are trying to hide
seeking some peace
your words can't hide plight
I am clueless
as to what to say you
for you have been the only
stronger in us
Some knots are clogged inside
let the heat around you
melt them and make you feel light
In those traffic of thoughts
where you are wandering alone
masking the hurt and emptiness
behind that cheerful tone
My dear wisest friend
tell me how can I make you smile ?
which of the words
will stop the tear to slide ?
You are not the one to be blamed
if something doesn't workout
the way you thought
you are a fighter I know
till the end you always fight
Yes, for no fault of you
people do leave you mid way
yes that twinges
agreed, that will leave you grey
But my dear friend
don't forget to smile
for every battle needs that curve
to make you feel alright
I know you don't need
my advice
for you brim with positive spirit
and are wise
Yet I can't help
seeing you helpless
its not you
hopeful yet hopeless
Yes I am not aware
of what you are going through
I have been selfish
absorbed in my own worries , true
There is one thing
I would like you to say
whatever be the circumstances
how much ever deep the heart breaks be
look above
there will be a soul you can see
who is looking after you
like a child
she wants you
really wants you to smile
for she is away
yet she is nearest
she is your dearest
who whispers in the singing breeze
who is your ink
who is your muse, which she often tease.
Nearby is an angel
who loves you lot
I know you haven't forgot
yet I hope they give you all strength you need
let their presence be the seed
for the new life

I hope your friend hears your thoughts. You're talking from your heart here. It's hard to see someone you love going through suffering and you feel hopeless at times seeing your friend like that. May both of you find peace eventually.
