Alien
It had been more than 3 years since I saw him last, leave alone meeting. Something I never thought would happen. Our eyes met for sharp 2 seconds, and for the rest of the party our heads titled towards opposite direction, away from each others face. We had loads to talk, but we reacted otherwise.
Its wonder when you meet someone who changed your life, you hide yourself. A lot changes in between, and in that course we wear a new persona. The main fear is, we know that our new persona is still alien to us, somewhere deep down, we still are the 'old' one. The other also knows that.
So we behave as if we are alien to each other, rather than accepting we are alien to our own selves, to be apt, to our so called new persona, who is our own reasoning of 'I have moved on'
That is so true...

ReplyDeleteCircumstances do make us change our traits. Certain happenings do make us go into protective shell but that should not make one give up on his or her basic nature.
